The Development Economics Study Program of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta Undergoes LAMEMBA Field Assessment to Achieve Superior Accreditation Status

Yogyakarta, April 2026 — The Undergraduate Development Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta, is currently undergoing an important stage in its academic quality enhancement process through the LAMEMBA Field Assessment as part of its application for Superior Accreditation status. This stage follows the result of the Adequacy Assessment, which stated that the Development Economics Study Program was eligible to proceed to the field assessment process.

The field assessment is scheduled to take place from 19 April 2026 to 23 April 2026. This activity serves as a strategic moment for the Development Economics Study Program of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta to demonstrate its commitment to maintaining the quality of governance, the implementation of the tridharma of higher education, graduate learning outcomes, academic outputs, as well as tangible contributions to society and stakeholders.

This field assessment is conducted in accordance with LAMEMBA regulations, including LAMEMBA Regulation Number 6 of 2025 concerning Procedures for Field Assessment and Validation of Field Assessment Results for Superior Accreditation Status, LAMEMBA Regulation Number 8 of 2025 concerning Guidelines for Assessor Management, and LAMEMBA Regulation Number 9 of 2021 concerning LAMEMBA’s Code of Ethical Conduct. This affirms that the entire assessment process is carried out objectively, professionally, and with integrity.

The Head of the Development Economics Study Program stated that the field assessment is not merely an administrative stage, but part of a continuous effort to ensure that the delivery of higher education in the Development Economics Study Program remains on a path of excellence, adaptability, and relevance to the needs of the times.

“This field assessment process is an opportunity for us to demonstrate institutional readiness, academic quality, program governance, and the dedication of the entire academic community in realizing development economics education that is excellent, impactful, and competitive,” he stated.

During the assessment process, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta and the Development Economics Study Program are committed to carrying out all stages in accordance with the guidelines established by LAMEMBA, including upholding the principles of simplicity, professionalism, and ethics in welcoming and assisting the assessors. LAMEMBA has also emphasized that higher education institutions are not permitted to provide excessive ?????? or services, so that the assessment remains truly focused on the substance of academic quality and program governance.

This field assessment is expected to become an important step in strengthening the position of the Development Economics Study Program of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta as a study program that continues to grow, is quality-oriented, and consistently supports the achievement of the university’s vision in producing graduates who are excellent, adaptive, and contributive to national development.
